It goes great  with home made cheese, smoked carp, trout and seafood. We recommend grilled bream or sea bass, octopus under the bell, St. Jacques coquilles, chicken salads, pasta with parmesan cheese and olive oil.

Harvest

Due to extremely high temperatures and low precipitation during the ripening process, unusual even for Ćemovsko polje, the technological maturity of grapes was accelerated. Because of climate conditions, mild dehydration of grapes happened, especially to those with thinner epidermis. Grape dehydration came after the full phase of phenolic ripeness occurred. This led to a high concentration of the chemical composition of berries, therefore, the quality of grapes increased and we had one of the best vintages.

Pairing with food

Perfect for matching with the dishes,made of noble fish from Lake Skadar and the Adriatic basin, as well as with the specialties, made of the red meats (slowly roasted beef under the bell, stewed, lamb shoulder with rosemary). As for the international dishes, we recommend lasagne with bechamel sauce, pepperoni pizza, Bolognese sauce pasta.

Harvest

The year 2013 was extremely favorable, both for the white and red grape varieties. During vegetation, there were sufficient precipitations and during summer months without much precipitations. The grapes reached the stage of full, technological ripeness.

Harvest

Vintage 2016 was of exceptional quality for the production of white wine. Grapes had full phenolic ripeness.

Grapes for this wine comes from the best parcels of Ćemovsko polje. Itwas picked in the period of full, technological ripeness with the best polyphenolic complex and high sugar content. The wine has a dark ruby red color with purple hues. It has multi-layered aromas of red fruits, black currant, blackberry, followed by chocolate, caramel and licorice notes. On taste is complex, full of fruity tones of cherry, prune, chocolate and creamy caramel. Wine is rounded, soft and aroma of toasted oak and smoke can be felt.

Pairing with food

Strong, greasy and well flavoured red meat, game meat, prosciutto and high fat cheese.

Harvest

Despite the extremely high temperatures and dry weather, the harvest of 2015 was of exceptional quality, not only for the production of red but also for white wines. The grapes were in excellent health. The harvest was carried out exclusively at night (because of the lower temperatures) in order to preserve the full aromatic potential of grapes.
